How to Find More Time in Your Day

Steps to take to help you accomplish more

How often do you find yourself saying, “I don’t have the time for that!”

I say it ALL the time, and noticed I have less time now during quarantine than before. Maybe it’s the additional work I put on myself with a lack of activities outside the house (hello Medium and Duo Lingo), or perhaps it’s the lack of structure when I live and work in the same four walls.

Whatever the reason for your busy-ness, it can be a struggle to add anything else to your day, even if it’s an activity you enjoy.

But think of what you could accomplish if you had just a few more hours each day or in a week.

Here are a few steps to take and habits to build to find more time in your day.

Write down everything you do

Take a day or two and write down everything you do that day.

For example, my Monday usually looks like this:

  • Wake up
  • Feed the cat and give her water
  • Make coffee
  • Take a walk and listen to the news
  • Make and eat breakfast
  • Work 8–4:30
